7 For All Mankind (7FAM) transforms denim retail into a gallery-like experience at its renovated New York flagship at 394 W. Broadway in SoHo.

The premium denim brand opened the men’s and women’s store on Tuesday. The redesign, developed in close collaboration with Los Angeles-based Perron Studios, is built around three defining principles: retail as gallery, materiality as a metaphor for denim, and sculptural modular displays. The principles come together in a retail environment that balances 7FAM’s early-2000s California heritage and its bold future under the creative direction of Nicola Brognano.

The gallery-inspired concept draws on material storytelling and adaptive spatial systems. Flexible layouts and architectural display structures provide shoppers the space to discover products, while allowing the 2,400-square-foot space to evolve. Modular fixtures replace a traditional denim wall, creating a versatile presentation adapatable across different store formats.

Copper, aluminum, leather, wood, and soft carpeting were chosen to reflect denim’s inherent character. The brand said the materials nod to denim’s durability, texture and ability to age. For example, copper surfaces will develop a rich patina over time, “mirroring the wear and evolution of the fabric itself.” Cowhide seating is featured throughout.

The store was closed for six months for the renovations. 7FAM’s store on Bleeker Street remained open.

The brand said the reopening marks a significant milestone for its product offering, “giving heightened visibility, affirming 7 For All Mankind’s position as a fashion house—one where denim remains the soul, but the full wardrobe tells the story.”

The reopening coincides with the start of New York Fashion Week on Sept. 10, an increasingly important moment on 7FAM’s calendar.

Brognano joined 7FAM in December. He debuted his first 7FAM collection two months later at NYFW, marking the brand’s first-ever runway show at the event. The former Blumarine designer will return to the runway on Sept. 12 to unveil his sophomore collection for 7FAM.

“This marks the next step in our evolution from a denim specialist to a fashion house, where Nicola’s vision for the brand comes to life and will allow our customer to experience the 7FAM world firsthand,” said Sacha Gomez de Zamora Ford, 7 For All Mankind’s global president.
