I have my everyday makeup routine down to a T. However, that’s not to say I don’t love testing out new products to potentially incorporate into my regimen. I have relatively normal skin with noticeable pores around my nose, so that’s the first thing I always keep in mind when shopping for new formulas. I want my makeup to enhance my assets, blur my skin, and hide my pores. That’s why I was so excited when I found out about the new Glossier Cloud Paint Gel Cream Bronzer ($22).

It’s said to bronze the skin and give it a gorgeous glow, and it was made for people like me who appreciate buildable products, as opposed to medium or full-coverage finishes. I was immediately sold after reading that description, so I got my hands on a few shades and put them to the test. Below, find my full review of Glossier’s Cloud Paint Bronzer.

About the Glossier Cloud Paint Bronzer

  • The gel-cream formula is buildable and easy to blend.
  • There are five shades to choose from that can be mixed to create a custom color.
  • It provides the skin with a bronzed, sun-kissed effect.
  • This bronzer is crafted with soluble collagen, an ingredient known to leave the skin refreshed and dewy.
  • Blurring powder pigments are used in this formula to diffuse and smooth the skin.

What I Like About the Glossier Cloud Paint Bronzer

I wasn’t too familiar with Glossier’s product range before trying the bronzers, but it’s easy to tell that the brand is all about enhancing the skin, not covering it up – and I love that sentiment. I prefer to let my skin shine through when it comes to makeup, and that’s exactly what happened when I tried out the Cloud Paint Bronzer.

I appreciated the buildable formula and loved how the gel-cream consistency felt gliding on my skin. It gave me the perfect golden-bronzed glow and is a product I can see myself reaching for in the future.

How to Use the Glossier Cloud Paint Bronzer

According to the brand’s website, all you need to do is apply the product with your fingertips. I mixed two shades (Sail and Swept) to create my perfect, custom hue and blended them on the back of my hand with my fingers. Once I was happy with the color and consistency, I placed my finger in the product and dabbed it on my cheekbones and the perimeter of my forehead.

I loved the result of this application technique, but it’s worth noting that it takes quite a while to blend. You can also try applying it with a brush or beauty sponge for ease and speed. However, using either of those tools might require more product because it’s likely to soak up some of the pigment.

What to Consider Before Trying the Glossier Cloud Paint Bronzer

If you consider yourself to be more of a minimalist when it comes to makeup, Glossier’s Cloud Paint Bronzer will be right up your alley. And if you’re somewhat of a chameleon when it comes to makeup, like me, and find yourself loving both no-makeup makeup and full glam, this product lends itself to both. That said, if you prefer your products to be more full coverage, you may find this formula to be a little too light.

Where Is the Glossier Cloud Paint Bronzer Available?

Glossier’s Cloud Paint Bronzer is available at the brand’s website and Sephora.
