Penélope Cruz put a feminine spin on edgy dressing while attending Chanel‘s fall 2024 presentation in Paris on Tuesday. The actress opted for a leather skirt suit from the label’s 2024 Métiers d’Art collection, pairing it with a pastel knit featuring broderie details.

Cruz also added on a jeweled belt and matching earrings, completing her ensemble with peep-toe pumps, a gold interlocking “C” chain choker and one of Chanel’s trademark quilted handbags.

The actress wore her brunette tresses in a sleek bob, while her makeup consisted of a smokey eye and a nude lip.

Chanel’s show opened with a black-and-white short film starring Cruz and Brad Pitt, in which the duo reenacted scenes from Claude Lelouch’s 1966 film, “Un homme et une femme,” or “A Man and a Woman.” The New Wave classic, winner of the Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film and Best Original Screenplay, starred Anouk Aimée and Jean-Louis Trintignant.

Both the original film and Chanel’s new short are set in Deauville, France, where founder Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel opened her first fashion boutique in 1913. Creative director Virginie Viard’s latest collection was inspired by the seaside town.

Cruz has been an ambassador for Chanel since 2018, appearing in ads for the famed fashion house’s clothing and accessories. Last year, the actress fronted Chanel’s latest J12 watch campaign alongside Margot Robbie, Ali MacGraw and Chinese actress Zhou Xun.

Cruz has also been known to favor Chanel designs on the red carpet. At the Met Gala honoring the brand’s longtime creative director Karl Lagerfeld, she donned an haute couture design from Chanel’s spring 1988 collection. Her sheer ballgown featured silver sequin embellishments.

“My dear Karl, I hope you are feeling the love. I know you are,” Cruz wrote on Instagram.

More recently, Cruz wore Chanel while attending a Madrid photo call for her latest film, “Ferrari.” The actress opted for a matching tweed dress and cloche.
