Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is coming out with a beauty brand, making him the latest addition in celebrity men entering the skin-care space. Only in this case, Johnson has revealed that his personal-care line, called Papatui, gives a special nod to his heritage.

“The name Papatui is deeply personal to me,” Johnson says in a press release. “My Samoan grandfather, the High Chief Peter Maivia was the first man who taught me what men’s care was all about . . . [he] was one of my heroes.”

The collection will consist of 12 items, inclusive of products for the body, face, and tattoos (which the star is known for being particularly fond of). While body care in general is having a moment – the 2024 Pinterest Predicts report noted an increase in searches for “body care” and “body skin-care routine” of 800 and 1,000 percent respectively – people seem to be particularly interested in the Papatui Tattoo Balm ($10). It has seen a spike in searches on Google since the line was announced on March 7.

Still, Papatui also caters to those who enjoy a more elevated shower, as Johnson partnered with renowned perfumers Frank Voelkl and Clement Gavarry. Together, they created the brand’s three signature scents: Sandalwood Suede, Lush Coconut, and Cedar Sport, which will be available in its hair and body formulations.

The full line will be available today on the brand’s website, as well as in-store and online at Target’s nationwide. Get a sneak peek at all the Papatui products in the line to make it that much easier to add them to your cart ahead.
