Jennifer Connelly attended the world premiere of the new Apple TV+ show “Dark Matter” on Monday. The Oscar-winning actress stars in the forthcoming series and hit the red carpet with members of the cast and creative team in Los Angeles.
For the red carpet event, Connelly fashioned an edgy look courtesy of Louis Vuitton‘s fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection. The actress wore a belted jacket, top, skirt and ankle boots, carrying a white petite malle bag. As for her accessories, Connelly kept it simple with a silver stud earring and chain.
The actress’ hair was pulled back into a sleek style. Her makeup featured a lip in a berry red shade and bold brows. Connelly’s look was curated by stylist Leslie Fremar, who’s worked with Charlize Theron and Taylor Russell, among other A-list talent.
Louis Vuitton’s fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection showcase during Paris Fashion Week in March coincided with Nicolas Ghesquière’s 10-year anniversary as the women’s creative director for the French luxury fashion house.
At the show, Ghesquière emphasized this milestone moment, leaving a typewritten note on each seat, which read “It’s a beautiful journey. I’m continuing it.” Ghesquière renewed his contract with Louis Vuitton for an additional five years in November 2023.
The collection was described in WWD’s review of the show as a “distillation” of the designer’s work at Louis Vuitton thus far. Featured throughout the collection were futuristic takes on sportswear, like a graphic two-tone windbreaker with a curved zipper and a silver flight suit with scarification marks.
Felix, of the K-pop band Stray Kids, walked the runway in an embroidered white turtleneck and metallic track pants. Other looks included a boxy minidress, printed with trompe-l’oeil trunk details, worn with furry mittens as big as bear paws.
“Dark Matter” is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Blake Crouch. The series follows Jason Dessen, who is abducted into an alternate reality. Desperate to get back to his family, he must save them from himself. The series stars Connelly, Joel Edgerton and Jimmi Simpson and debuts on Apple TV+ on May 8.
