Kelly Clarkson arrived on the red carpet at the 51st annual Daytime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Friday wearing a hot pink caped gown.

Clarkson, whose eponymous talk show won the Daytime Emmy for “Outstanding Talk Show Entertainment,” donned the Satin Crepe Cape-Detail Gown by Alex Perry. The structured dress includes a form-fitting bodice, shoulder pads and a cape, forming slit-sleeves at the elbows of the long sleeves.

Since relocating to New York in 2023 for Season Five of “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” Clarkson has been styled by Micaela Erlanger. The celebrity stylist, who has also dressed the likes of Lupita N’yongo and Meryl Streep, previously told WWD that after Clarkson moved to New York, it was time for a “new look, new Kelly,” adding that her goal was to create outfits that are “a little bit more sophisticated, chic, with that New York City sensibility and more tailoring, without losing track of who [Clarkson] is or her personality.” After all, “she is a rock star.”

Since then, Clarkson has been spotted in more New York designers and several monochromatic ensembles. In October 2023, she wore a black velvet Sabina Musayev wrap dress at the Audacy’s We Can Survive Concert, and earlier this year at the Grammys, she opted for an all-white ensemble with a white, form-fitting Jason Wu dress and a matching box clutch.
