MILAN — Luke Meier is taking a step back from his role as creative director of OAMC, the menswear brand he cofounded with Arnaud Faeh in 2013, WWD has learned.

According to the company, Meier will continue “to guide certain projects” but from this point forward the label’s design team will oversee the development of the collections.

“I would like to thank all those involved with OAMC, particularly Arnaud and Edwin Faeh, for their companionship, enthusiasm and support in creating such a wonderful project,” Meier said in a statement. “I am confident in leaving the studio in very capable hands and look forward to the outstanding success that OAMC will achieve in the coming years.”

It is understood that Meier will continue to retain his stake in OAMC. As reported, in 2021 OAMC‘s cofounders repurchased the minority shareholding in their company that they had sold to Onward Italia in 2018

Meier’s official final collection for the brand was spring 2024. For fall 2024, under his creative direction, OAMC focused on collaborative collections with labels including Goldwin, which will be launched globally in September and celebrated with an event in Tokyo. Other tie-ups will be revealed in the upcoming months, adding to past partnerships with the likes of Adidas and Supreme.

Designed and developed in Italy, OAMC’s offering encompasses men’s ready-to-wear, footwear, accessories and small leather goods.
