Cofounded by Swiss industrial designer Andrea Furlan and watch collector Hamad Al Marri, Furlan Marri launched on Kickstarter in 2021 with a vintage chronograph powered by a hybrid mecha-quartz engine. Since then the brand has become a favorite among watch enthusiasts and industry insiders for its vintage Patek Philippe-inspired styling, affordable price points, and attention to detail.

The latest collection, Disco Volante, brings a modern twist to classic design, featuring three distinct references powered by the redesigned and hand-finished Peseux 7001 movement from Geneva. Disco Volante, or flying saucer in Italian, pays homage to the rounded shapes and curved bezel designs that originated in the late 1930s, which are characterized by their sleek round cases and large, yet invisible lugs concealed beneath the 38mm case.

Powering the timepieces is the Swiss-made Peseux 7001, a manually wound movement with a 42-hour power reserve. They have been custom-finished by Furlan Marri, with black-polished screws and crown wheel and hand-finished beveling on the bridges and is visible through a sapphire caseback.

Available in three dial options at launch — Havana Disco, Disco Celeste and Disco Verde — the four-part, bi-color dials are finished with a mix of printed and applied indices, such as a printed minute track that circles the outermost ring of the dial and an oversized small seconds counter at 6 o’clock that sits just below the Art Deco handset, while circles surrounding both the small seconds indicator and the hour track are filled with lume, giving the watch a bit of a sci-fi twist when in the dark. Each style will come equipped with two vegetable-tanned Italian leather straps.
