LONDON — Isabella Rose, director of communications and digital at Copenhagen Fashion Week, has helped build the trade show’s reputation as the fifth fashion capital and now she has been named chief operating officer, WWD has learned.
“Copenhagen Fashion Week’s successful trajectory over the last years would not have been possible without a super committed and hard-working team, and Isabella has played an absolutely invaluable role in this,” said Cecilie Thorsmark, chief executive officer of Copenhagen Fashion Week.
“Isabella’s dedication, leadership and strategic thinking has already made a big impact on our organization and I have no doubt that with her in this new role, we can continue driving our organization forward and to new levels of success,” she added.
Rose’s new role will see her move into a more overarching position across all departments at Copenhagen Fashion Week and working on long-term strategy for the organization.

She has spent a majority of her career working with emerging designers, from starting out as a studio manager of Fashion East recipient Claire Barrow to managing the communications and sales of the British Fashion Council’s Newgen brands.
Rose praised Thorsmark for believing in her from “the start [and] continually inspiring me to reach to new heights.”
This season’s Copenhagen Fashion Week will take place from Aug. 5 to 9 with a variety of formats, from runway shows, presentations to live talks that are also open to the public.
Rose has been instrumental in introducing new markets and press to the brands and designers coming out of Copenhagen Fashion Week, including championing the likes of Kristofer Kongshaug of Forza Collective, eyewear designer Vincent Catani, Cecilie Bahnsen and many more.
She studied history of art, architecture and classics at Trinity College Dublin.
