Everyone needs a staple, neutral eyeshadow palette in their collection, and for the longest time, Urban Decay’s original Naked Palette was the cult favorite. It was one of the first beauty products to go viral in the 2010s beauty YouTuber era. Although it was discontinued in 2018, the Naked Palette spawned an entire line of neutral-toned, everyday makeup products for the brand, from complexion products to over nine different eye palettes, like the bestselling rose gold-toned Naked3 and warm-toned Naked Heat, which are still available to shop. But, right now, for a limited time only, Urban Decay is bringing back the original Naked Palette ($59) exclusively at Ulta.com and the brand’s site.

The limited-edition rerelease features the original 12 shades, including nudes, browns, golds, and bronzes, in a range of smooth mattes, velvety satins, shimmers, and metallics. Whether you create a wash of sparkle with Half Baked, a natural “no makeup, makeup” look with subtle contouring and highlighting, or the boldest smoky eye using Creep, the palette’s versatility speaks for itself. With this palette, you can craft an eye look for every moment and use it as a base for other bolder eyeshadow palettes or shades.

As great as the original was, the brand made a few changes this time around, giving it the revamp it deserves. Unlike the original formula, this limited edition rerelease is vegan. The shadows also have a creamier texture that makes it easier to blend and long-lasting. The updated formula minimizes creases, fading, and fallout. The packaging is nearly the same with its chocolate, velvet case, but its mirror is slightly bigger and it comes with a dual-sided eyeshadow brush.

Ahead, a few of our editors share their favorite memories of the Naked Palette and show off their looks using the rereleased version. Keep reading to learn more and shop the palette before it’s sold out for good.
