Cher arrived in Paris for Balmain‘s spring 2024 runway show on Wednesday during Paris Fashion Week, taking a minimalist approach to color with statement embellishments to join the front row.
While attending the show, Cher wore a head-to-toe look from the brand, including a white jacket with black beaded embroidery on the bodice and beaded tassel embroidery on the hem, topped off with a sash belt. She paired the jacket with classic black trousers.
Cher was joined by her rumored boyfriend, music executive Alexander Edwards. Edwards took the cue about black and white from Cher, and donned an oversized black suit with a white button-down shirt untucked. He paired the ensemble with black square-toe shoes.
WWD characterized Balmain’s spring 2024 collection as hinged on floral prints and embellishments.
Rousteing’s show was particularly impressive given that due to a truck hijacking, it was operating in a precarious position for a while.
Earlier this month, 50 of Balmain’s samples for Paris Fashion Week were stolen, according to an Instagram post from Rousteing. Only three boxes have been recovered so far, but remain in police possession for fingerprinting.
Rousteing had always indicated the Balmain show would go on as planned. Rousteing said his atelier was able to reproduce about 70 percent of the missing looks.
Cher’s attendance at Balmain’s spring 2024 runway show comes a year after she closed the spring 2023 presentation alongside Rousteing. They walked the runway to Cher’s 1998 hit song “Strong Enough.” Her finale look included a sculptured silver bodysuit, shiny black leggings and chunky boots, and more than 100 models debuted a mix of ready-to-wear and couture looks.
