Mindy Kaling added a bit of sparkle to fall’s hottest hue while attending a launch event for the skin care brand Lion Pose. Kaling is an investor in the company, which recently released its Pep Talk moisturizer.
The actress selected a red sequined V-neck minidress by Monique Lhuillier, accessorizing with minimal jewelry and nude open-toe heels. Hairdresser Richard Grant styled Kaling’s dark tresses in waves, while makeup artist Ernesto Casillas gave her winged eyeliner, rosy blush and a glossy mauve lip.
Lion Pose was founded by Silicon Valley alums Madhu Punjabi and Nisha Phatak, who sought to develop a line suited for diverse skin tones. The brand is also currently sold at Sephora.

“My decision to come on board Lion Pose was simple,” Kaling said in a statement last year. “I found an unbeatable product that was backed by a vision I have always believed in, and one that has informed everything I do in my career. That representation and inclusion are just good business. Madhu and Nisha are deeply committed to the idea that inclusivity in clinical skin care is not the goal, but the requirement for any good product.”
Last week, Kaling touched down in New York to attend Michael Kors’ spring 2025 fashion show. The actress got ready with WWD, sharing why she loves the label.
“Fashion can sometimes have the reputation of not necessarily being so inclusive of people of different images and you see these incredible performers and political women, just strong American women of every age, which I think is really exciting for someone like me,” Kaling said. “They all look incredibly glamorous in their Michael Kors workwear. He’s so good at workwear. And for someone like me who has two full-time jobs, it’s just amazing to get fashion ideas from looking at the models and looking at everyone else who’s sitting front row.”
