Fashion enthusiasts gathered in Marrakech on Thursday night for the sixth annual Fashion Trust Arabia event. Hosted by Angela Bassett and Ahmed Helmy, the evening celebrated Yasmin Mansour as the 2024 FTA Prize ready-to-wear winner. Other awards included Nadine Mosallam for eveningwear and Reem Hamed for accessories. Sylwia Nazzal received the Franca Sozzani Debut Talent Award.
As a part of the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture, the evening intends to support the next generation of fashion talent from the MENA region. The FTA 2024 Jury included names like Amina Muaddi, Giambattista Valli, Ib Kamara, Yoon Ahn and many more. The advisory board included Ludovic de Saint Sernin, Law Roach, Nina Garcia, Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele, Peter Dundas and Susie Lau, among others.

Jodie Turner-Smith
Jodie Turner-Smith went all-black, wearing a look designed by a member of this year’s FTA jury. Her coat dress came from the Balmain fall 2024 collection designed by Olivier Rousteing. With strong shoulders, the look featured a pleated skirt. Stylists Wayman Deon and Micah McDonald paired it with a suede heel.

Alessandra Ambrosio also chose Balmain. The model opted for a modified look from the brand’s resort 2025 collection, which debuted in June via images shot by Olivier Rousteing. Ambrosio’s look is deceptively simple: though it is black and white, the look is heavily encrusted featuring stones and Swarovski crystals all over.
Nicky Hilton Rothschild
Fresh off of releasing a 31-piece holiday collection, Rebecca Vallance and Nicky Hilton Rothschild have teamed up again. The pair adapted one of the party dresses they released into a custom design for Hilton Rothschild’s appearance at Fashion Trust Arabia. The new black version, which is a take on the dress Hilton Rothschild and Paris Hilton wore to the collection launch, features a high neck and includes a train.
Taraji P. Henson
Taraji P. Henson chose an extravagant look from Zuhair Murad, who was part of the FTA 2024 jury. The ensemble is a heavily embellished sheer gown with a draped neckline and strong shoulders. It comes from the brand’s spring 2024 couture collection, celebrating Phoenician heritage, and was styled by Wayman Deon and Micah McDonald.
