The red trend is still going strong, as evidenced by the parade of fiery looks at the SAG Awards 2025 on Sunday in Los Angeles. On Sunday, there were ample takes on red dresses, from Anna Sawai‘s sleek beaded custom Armani Privé column dress to Danielle Deadwyler’s custom Louis Vuitton walking sculpture gown.
The breakout color for fall — from fiery shades to burgundy tones — has been all over the runway and red carpet over the past year. Labels such as Bottega Veneta, Ferragamo, Victoria Beckham and Issey Miyake put their stamp on it for fall 2024 and, in March, Laura Larbalestier, fashion director at Harvey Nichols, told WWD, “red has to be the predominant color of the season and was seen in nearly every collection.”
On the red carpet, red looks have been trending at the MTV VMAs 2024, Deadline’s 2024 Contenders Film: Los Angeles, and this year’s Golden Globes. Below, see how attendees at the SAG Awards 2025 styled red dresses on the red carpet.
