Brigitte Macron joined her husband, President Emmanuel Macron of France, for the state banquet alongside King Frederik X of Denmark and Queen Mary of Denmark on Monday at the Élysée Palace in Paris. The Danish royals are on an official visit to France for Denmark – France: Partnering for a Resilient Europe for the Future, discussing renewable energy, culture and more topics.
For the special occasion, Brigitte Macron continued her blue style streak with a shimmering touch. France’s first lady opted for a royal blue column gown with sheer long sleeves and sparkling details throughout.
While the sparkles adorning Macron’s gown were seemingly placed randomly on the bodice of the dress, the skirt featured an ornately embroidered pattern with the shimmering motif. The cuffs of the long-sleeve dress and the hemline also included silver, glittering elements for a contemporary spin on formalwear.
When it came to her glam and accessories, Macron opted for a pair of pointed toe metallic silver pumps. She also wore a pair of statement earrings but forwent other pieces of jewelry to keep her dress the centerpiece of her ensemble.
Macron’s hair was pulled back into a tight chignon with a few wisps of hair to frame her face and her makeup included a smokey eye and neutral lip. Macron’s evening attire was perfectly juxtaposed by Queen Mary of Denmark’s feminine and slightly more conservative ensemble.
The Danish royal wore an ensemble featuring a voluminous, high-waisted skirt with a bevy of florals cascading down the fabric of the dress in an intricately designed pattern. She also wore a white blouse with a high-neckline and ornate embroidery with billowing sleeves and cinched cuffs.
Macron’s latest public appearance demonstrated France’s first lady’s proclivity for and appreciation of blue tones. Macron regularly wears the hue, styling formal pieces as well as daytime business attire in the color motif.
