Brooklinen Classic Percale Hardcore Sheet Bundle
What’s included: 1 core sheet set (fitted sheet, flat sheet, 2 pillowcases), 1 duvet cover, 2 extra pillowcases
Material: 100% long-staple cotton
Special features: Pillowcase envelope closures, comforter-securing duvet ties, “Long” and “Short” side tags
This, dear reader, is my all-time favorite sheet set from Brooklinen. And though I haven’t had the privilege of testing out the bundle’s duvet cover — while also never, ever using a flat sheet — I can fully attest to the buttery softness of the set’s percale fabric. Made of tightly woven cotton threads arranged in a one-over-one pattern, percale is crisp and breathable even on those nights when the air conditioning is of no help. Other things to love is that it’s easy to fold in case you want to swap out bedding sets in the middle of the season; quickly smooths out after appearing a bit wrinkly straight out of the box; and has a matte finish that’s elevated via jewel-toned hues like the pictured Abyss, as well as the olive-like Fresh Moss that I personally own.
While that thread count of 270 might read as low at first glance, the “higher thread count = higher quality” equation is actually a myth. Yes, a large thread count can indicate a denser weave and potentially smoother texture, but it’s not the only quality indicator you should be looking for in your bedding. “Sometimes, manufacturers use multi-ply threads (where multiple thinner threads are twisted together) to inflate the thread count without necessarily improving quality,” interior designer and bedding expert Amy Switzer told WWD for a previous story.
The TL;DR of all this thread count talk is that you should go with what feels good. As for me, my Brooklinen percale sheets are both smooth and dense to this day, even after countless washes and mid-day nap sessions.

Brooklinen Mulberry Silk Pillowcase
What’s included: 1 pillowcase
Material: 100% pure mulberry silk
Special features: Protects skin and hair from friction damage, machine washable
Silk pillowcases are the “It” thing right now — lauded for their ability to eliminate the frizz and tangles that accompany bedhead, prevent post-sleep wrinkles, and improve the quality of sleep based on how lovely they feel on skin. Though, at its original price of $59, Brooklinen’s take on the silk pillowcase is not the most affordable one out there, its Anniversary Sale is your best chance to finally say “I do” to something you’ll perpetually want to nuzzle up to: equal parts beauty buy and sleep investment. The brand’s mulberry silk is breathable, safely machine washable, and won’t slide off thanks to envelope closure. It will become your trusty bed companion from spring to winter and back again, but we suggest swapping out colors based on the season (Blush is our warm-weather favorite!).
Editor testing and review notes: “Once you sleep with a Mulberry silk pillow case, you simply can’t go back to basic cotton. Besides the luxurious feel, silk is ideal for both your skin texture and hair, which is truly key to achieving the best beauty sleep.” — WWD Shop Commerce Director Adam Mansuroglu

Brooklinen Washed European Linen Core Sheet Set
What’s included: 1 flat sheet, 1 fitted sheet, 2 pillowcases
Material: 100% European flax
Special features: Pillowcase envelope closures, “Long” and “Short” side tags, upgraded fabric weight, improved tensile strength
Being as responsive as ever to their customer base, Brooklinen heard suggestions on how to improve its flax linen sheet sets and delivered in spades. The brand’s redesigned European linen is way more stretch-resistant and feels heavier on the body — not to the point of an anxiety-alleviating weighted blanket, but still reflecting greater strength that can last a lifetime. During my testing period, the fit-for-spring sheet set ensured I never woke up in a sweat or else took a while to settle down and get comfortable on a hot night. Flax is not for everyone, though: more breathable and cooler than cotton, it’s definitely also rougher and thus might not mesh well with sensitive skin.
As a Type A individual, while awake and asleep, I’m anti-crease through and through when it comes to pillowcases, fitted sheets, and all other bed-related accruements. What pleased me to no end about the Brooklinen Washed European Linen Core Sheet Set is that it never creased like its sateen or percale counterparts, instead appearing lived-in from the get-go. Those colorway options (from oat to cream to teal) are sooo quiet luxury and will inspire a bit of a crush on your bed.

Brooklinen Luxe Sateen Duvet Set
What’s included: 1 duvet cover, 2 pillowcases
Material: 100% long-staple cotton
Special features: Pillowcase envelope closures, comforter-securing duvet ties
In case you want to bypass sheets and go straight to the heavy hitters (read: pillowcases and a duvet cover), consider Brooklinen’s Luxe Sateen Duvet Set a stellar option for breathing new life into a space where you spend so much of your time. Sateen’s one-yarn-under and three-yarn-over weave exposes more thread surface for greater softness and smoothness, which are guarantees with this purchase: evident in both the feel of the cotton on your skin and how easy it is to slide the decked-out duvet onto your bed each morning. The best part here? Brooklinen’s new colors and patterns for the set — featuring pastel blues and greens evoking natural elements, as well as sensible stripes and curvilinear illustrations. We love all of it and know you will, too.
Editor testing and review notes: “It’s really no wonder Luxe Sateeen is Brooklinen’s #1 fan favorite: It simply feels expensive with a durable and oh-so-soft fabric that comes in a wide variety of colors and prints to match your home decor style. As the educated consumer knows, long-staple cotton is the most refined and breathable fabric option for your bedding with a smooth-as-butter feel that makes crawling out of bed in the morning ten times harder — but in a good way. I used to struggle on weekends to giving myself the true R&R “bed rotting” experience, but when you upgrade your sheets to Brooklinen, I’ll bet you’ll be able to snuggle up in bed late into the afternoon on a lazy Sunday like I do.” — Mansuroglu

Brooklinen Dreamweave Waffle Bed Blanket
What’s included: 1 blanket
Material: 100% Turkish cotton
Special features: Thermoregulating, airy waffle texture
A Brooklinen bestseller, this bed blanket represents our current online obsession with bedscaping, which includes letting bedrooms to feel “richer” by adding carefully curated textures, color combinations, and patterns to our sleep settings. Having collectively outgrown Spiderman and Cinderella twin beds, it’s time for a mature bed look: courtesy of the Brooklinen Dreamweave Waffle Bed Blanket in question, which is not only endlessly pleasant to the touch but is something the home company calls a “bedding chameleon.”
Why the reference? Its Turkish cotton is thermoregulating, meaning it will adjust to your body’s temperature — cooling you when needed or supplying goosebump-inducing warmth on chillier spring nights. Despite being texture-rich, it’s not abrasive in the least and feels airy, while also sufficiently cocooning you as you count sheep. In the darker Slate, the waffle blanket can add visual interest to bedding sets that skew lighter, and you can also drape it over your couch for indulgent reading sessions paired with a glass of wine (machine washing the item on cold and then tumble drying it will banish stains in a flash).
Editor testing and review notes: “Everyone needs a dependable blanket in their life and, when winter turns to spring, it’s fine time to ditch the wool for something more lightweight. Waffle-textured fabrics deliver just that, combining the cozy feels you crave with ideal breathability with just the right amount of airflow. The downside? If you have a dog who loves to snuggle up on your softest throw blankets, this Brooklinen one is about to be its new favorite — so maybe purchase two to avoid a blanket tug of war match with your pooch.” — Mansuroglu
