Images of Adidas Sambas adorned with Bape’s star-shaped “Sta” logo surfaced weeks ago, but it turns out there’s more to the collaboration’s soccer-inspired footwear than originally expected. In addition reworking the 1970s indoor soccer classic, the brands will deliver a modern-day link-up in the form of two of Adidas’ top-of-the-line cleats.
The Bape x Adidas Soccer collection includes the Predator Elite FT, the F50 Elite, the Adidas Originals Samba and a range of apparel and accessories. While the group’s Samba sneakers take a reserved approach on the shoe’s staple black and white-based colorways, the cleats are where Bape delivers its signature colorful energy.

Both cleats are covered in Bape’s ABC camouflage print, with the Predator Elite FT using the classic green pattern along with the Japanese streetwear brand’s shark motif. The collaboration’s F50 Elite cleats manage to be even louder with a pink-to-blue gradient camouflage pattern, while the shark graphic is slightly more subdued on the medial section.
For the collection’s Samba, Bape and Adidas emphasized premium product, building the classic shoe with aniline grained leather. The brand’s star logo is paired with “A Bathing Ape” gold foil, but the biggest modification comes at the toe of the model. Instead of the traditional suede “t-toe,” the toes feature a molded rubber Bape Skull Sta face. Elsewhere, the lateral side of the right shoe features the Bape star while the medial section dons Adidas’ three stripes logo, and the branding are reversed on the left shoe.
The Bape x Adidas Soccer collection will be released Saturday in limited-edition quantities from the Adidas Confirmed app, adidas.com, bape.com, Bape stores and select retailers. Pricing has not yet been confirmed.
