The Emmy Awards 2025 red carpet saw couture, sequins, plenty of sparkle and a Labubu costume.
Thanks to drag queen Joella, a “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alum, the Pop Mart character made its debut at the awards ceremony on Sunday in Los Angeles. The artist wore a head-to-toe Labubu look featuring oversized faux-fur ears, a round cartoony mask with wide-eyed makeup detailing, and a scarlet brocade apron layered over the plush costume. Joella accessorized the playful ensemble with red embroidered slippers and a novelty takeout-box handbag.
Labubu has become a cultural obsession and a must-have fashion accessory over the past two years. With limited-edition drops, high resale markups and celebrity endorsements, the Labubu mania has swept across fashion, streetwear and pop culture spaces.
