We’ve already seen early glimpses of the upcoming Nike SB x Air Force 1 Low sneaker in black and now, a first look has surfaced of the upgraded retro in yet another classic colorway.
New video stills show a skate-ready version of the Air Force 1 in the model’s boot-like Flax colorway. The specifics of the sneaker are still undetermined, but the early looks thus far appear to show a deconstructed upper which would, in theory, make the shoe more malleable and suited for skateboarding. The good news for purists is that the overall appearance of the sneaker is largely unaltered; the SB Air Force 1 maintains its original low-top shape, rubber midsole and outsole and presumably, its embedded Nike Air cushioning.
After previously appearing in an all-black wear test sample colorway, Nike SB’s version of the 1982 basketball sneaker appears for the first time in Flax. Fans of the Air Force 1 will instantly recognize the colorway, which has been a staple of the line since the 2000s. The fall-friendly look is reminiscent of the wheat shade used on Timberland’s iconic Premium 6-Inch Waterproof Boot and Nike has at times added metal hardware and thin shoelaces to the Air Force 1 to make it even more boot-like.

As seen on previous interbrand skate partnerships such as the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 and this year’s Nike SB x Air Max 95, the Nike SB x Air Force 1 includes Nike SB branding on the heel and a host of changes which make the model more equipped for the wear and tear of skateboarding.
Unlike the wear test sample, which will likely remain unreleased, the Flax colorway is expected to be released at retail. Other styles expected for the upgraded Air Force 1 include Light Chocolate Brown and Pink Foam. Japanese pro skater Yuto Horigome is also expected to receive his own colorway of the sneaker in Iron Gray.
Despite this early look, an exact release date and retail price for the Nike SB x Air Force 1 Low has not been confirmed, but the pair is expected to begin releasing in early 2026. Readers can expect availability from Nike’s Snkrs app and skate shops worldwide.
