Queen Letizia brought her patent crimson kitten heels back into rotation on Wednesday, pairing the shiny pair with another coordinated red dress.

The Spanish royal and her husband, King Felipe VI of Spain hosted the president of the Federal Republic of Germany and the first lady at the Royal Palace in Madrid on Wednesday. The event came just a day after the queen attended a film screening of “Mar adentro.”

For the event, Queen Letizia wore a sensible and stylish pair of shoes. Her kitten heel pumps featured a pointed toe and were made up of a shiny crimson patent leather. The low heel added about an inch to Queen Letizia’s height, giving her a comfortable but polished look.
