Last week, Undefeated dropped two collaborative colorways of the Nike Air Max 95 modeled after its Air Max 97s from 2017. Three additional were still known to be in the pipeline, and logic would suggest they’d follow the lead from the remaining three from eight years ago. Undefeated has instead deviated from the expected and announced four more colorways, each of which is exclusive to a single city.
Headlining the assortment is the Undefeated x Nike Air Max 95 “Neon,” which employs the original colorway from the 30-year-old sneaker. The treatment is largely true to its source material, with an Undefeated-branded strip added to the upper. Tongue branding has also been switched to red from neon, while a co-branded insole carries a patch with “001/600” and the name of the city its exclusive to, New York City.

All three carry the same gray scale colorblocking, albeit with red replacing neon green for Tokyo, yellow for Shanghai and blue for Birmingham.
Each sneaker is made in a run of just 600 pairs, with the exception of Birmingham’s 1,200.
Undefeated, closing the year out with a hotly anticipated release, comes after the much heralded return of its Air Jordan 4 over the summer. Coming 20 years after the original, the very first Air Jordan collaboration, this year’s edition was true to form, besides a switch from Jumpman to Nike Air branding.
Aside from the “Big Bubble” reissue of the “Neon” colorway earlier this year, the sneaker was also remixed for a “Reverse” edition inspired by original sketches and released exclusively by MoMA.
The raffle for a Saturday in-store pick up for the Undefeated x Nike Air Max 95 “Neon” has already closed, and release information on the remaining editions is still to come. Pricing is set at $200.
