GREAT EXPECTATIONS: Add Josh O’Connor to the growing list of Dior brand ambassadors.

The English actor is a longtime friend and muse of creative director Jonathan Anderson, who during his prior tenure at Loewe named O’Connor as his first menswear ambassador in 2017 and cast him in several campaigns.

It was only natural that O’Connor, who rose to international fame for his performance as Prince Charles in “The Crown,” should attend Anderson’s debut runway show for Dior in June.

The “Challengers” star wore Dior for his recent appearances on television shows such as “Late Night With Seth Meyers” and “Saturday Night Live,” as well as events like the Governors Awards.

“Josh and I have worked together for many years, and he is a dear friend,” Anderson said in a statement shared exclusively with WWD. “He is a remarkable actor who brings a thoughtful precision to his work — quiet, considered and consistently original. It’s a partnership that continues to evolve, and I’m thrilled he joins me for this next chapter.”

Recently seen in “The History of Sound” and “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery,” O’Connor is poised for a banner year.

He will appear in Steven Spielberg’s eagerly awaited alien blockbuster “Disclosure Day” this summer, as well as Joel Coen’s “Jack of Spades,” which has been billed as a “Gothic mystery” set in 1880s Scotland.

“This partnership with Dior feels like stepping into a world where tradition meets bold creativity, and to join the Dior family with Jonathan Anderson at the helm is incredibly exciting. His vision for the house — honoring its history while innovatively pushing forward — resonates deeply with me,” the actor said.

“I’m grateful to be part of this new chapter and to work with a brand that continues to redefine what’s possible. Jonathan’s unique perspective combined with the timeless heritage of Dior is shaping something really special,” he added.
