Kate Hudson went for a timeless black and white look for a luncheon hosted in her honor. The event was hosted by Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Focus Features at a private residence in Los Angeles on Thursday, and Hudson arrived in a pair of Aquazzura platform sandals.

Hudson, who has been out and about at various events for awards season and to promote her movie “Song Sung Blue,” opted for Aquazzura 130mm Romance Plateau sandal. The shoes feature an adjustable buckle strap, a wide block heel measuring a whopping five inches, a platform at the front and a peep-toe cut-out at the front. The platform at the front and the padded leather insole gives the Aquazzura heel some added comfort. The shoes are no longer available on the Aquazzura website, but can be found on luxury retail sites starting at $700. Since its debut, the brand has become a favorite among celebrities like Meghan Markle, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and more.

The “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days” actress paired the platform heels with a flattering ensemble that included an understated silk white blouse with a high neck and long sleeves. She paired the blouse with black trousers with an ultra wide-leg fit that concealed the shoe. The event was attended by other stars including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Awkwafina, Mindy Kaling, Uzo Aduba and more.

Earlier this week, Hudson attended the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, where she received a nomination for Best Female Actor in a Musical or Comedy for her role as Claire in the film “Song Sung Blue,” marking her third nomination overall. Although she went home empty-handed, she scored a win on the red carpet, wearing an Armani Prive custom gown with Giuseppe Zanotti Sylvy satin platform sandals.
