Is there any style the Air Max 95 can’t adopt? From zipper-adorned versions to Realtree camouflage and even 3D-printed variations, Nike’s retro running shoe is the gift that keeps on giving for the brand and fans alike. Coming soon from its seemingly endless bag of tricks is a new hiker-informed build for the classic shoe.
The upcoming Nike Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble in Black/Off Noir/Metallic Silver/Black flips the entire construction of the 1995 model, replacing its typical synthetic suede and mesh for a fully seamless, shell-like construction that’s paired with a nylon tongue and metal hiking-style eyelets.

Beyond the first-of-its-kind build, the shoe also includes new branding, opting for “95” text on the tongue and a simple Swoosh logo at the heel. While specifics aren’t yet known, the shoe’s seamless upper is reminiscent of Nike’s molded Vac Tech technology from the 2010s.
The Air Max 95 has long been a fixture of Nike’s retro catalog, but the ’25 iteration was particularly noteworthy. For the model’s 30th anniversary, Nike dialed in the cushioning and shape of the shoe to better match the original ’95 version. The changes were met with near-universal acclaim, and the revamped build has since become the standard for Air Max 95 reissues.
Other recent Air Max 95 drops of note include a just-released Valentine’s Day makeup and the sneaker’s original Grape colorway, both of which were women’s releases.
While Nike’s specific storyline behind this upcoming Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble has yet to be confirmed, some early reports place it alongside a perforated white-based style as part of a “Family Reunion” pack. What can be said with certainty is that the pair will be released on Feb. 19 for a retail price of $200 from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Nike Sportswear retailers. The black colorway has a style code of IQ1662-045.
