Gemma Hart is stepping into the PVH Corp. C-suite as chief communications officer, effective Feb. 9.

She takes over from Amber McCann, who’s leaving the Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein parent company after nearly three years to pursue other opportunities.

Hart will oversee internal and external communications and serve as a member of the company’s executive leadership team, reporting to Stefan Larsson, chief executive officer.

“Gemma is a strategic leader with a proven ability to connect communications directly to business priorities,” Larsson said in a statement. “Her global perspective and depth of experience will be key in further shaping and scaling our company’s communications strategy, and I look forward to partnering with her as we continue our journey to build Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger into the most desirable lifestyle brands in the world.”

Hart brings more than two decades of experience to the role. She was most recently senior vice president and head of corporate affairs for Danone North America. Before that, she spent 13 years at communications firm Brunswick Group.

“Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger are brands that I have long admired, and as two of the most iconic brands in the industry, there is extraordinary opportunity ahead,” Hart said. “I am excited to join PVH at such a transformative time and begin working with the team to help drive PVH’s growth ambitions through meaningful, impactful communications.”

Larsson has been restructuring the company with his strategic PVH+ plan, built in part around breakthrough marketing campaigns, hero products and a more digital orientation.

“I want to thank Amber for her many contributions during her time at PVH,” the CEO said. “Through her leadership, we put important building blocks in place, establishing a strong communications foundation to support our PVH+ Plan. I wish Amber all the best in her future endeavors.”
