The International Center of Photography is honoring an iconic fashion muse at its annual gala this spring.

On April 28, model and Yves Saint Laurent muse Betty Catroux will receive the ICP’s Image Icon Infinity Award for her influence on fashion photography. Catroux will be honored at the event alongside photographers Joel Meyerowitz, Haruka Sakaguchi, Collier Schorr, and Tarrah Krajnak. The ICP Infinity Awards will be held at Tisch Skylights at the Shed and co-chaired by Jessica Nagle and Stefano Tonchi.

Catroux, who has been described as Saint Laurent’s “female double” for her physical likeness and androgynous allure, has long embodied the designer’s style. Now in her 80s, the French model has remained a fixture at Saint Laurent runway shows, and was chosen by current creative director Anthony Vaccarello to star in the brand’s fall 2018 campaign. She was also the subject of “Fashion Singular,” a special exhibition at the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris that opened in 2020.
