Along with new Kobe Bryant and Ja Morant-branded colorways, Nike’s Air Force 1 continues its NBA crossover this summer with a new style saluting LeBron James.
With James currently propelling his Los Angeles Lakers to a 2-0 lead over the Houston Rockets in the opening road of the playoffs, the record-setting NBA veteran is also adding another Air Force 1 to his resumé. This time, a Beijing theme appears on the White/Jade Ice/Metallic Gold/White colorway. The pair first appeared earlier in April after James’ longtime friend, Frankie Walker, shared the unreleased style on his Instagram story.

Weeks later, we’re learning more about the new LeBon James x Nike Air Force 1 Low, which is set to arrive in stores this summer. The design looks as though it’s been etched out of marble with a patterned base and glossy translucent overlays which allow the marbled pattern to peek through. The James-branded style is further elevated from standard Air Force 1s with its thick rope shoelaces and gold dubraes, which match the “Air Chosen 1” tongue branding as well as the “LBJ” lettering on the heel.
A milky opaque midsole has been molded in the shape of James’ crown emblem — similar to what’s featured on his current signature sneaker, the Nike LeBron 23. Under the hood, the pair gets some added comfort through a drop-in foam insole while heel Zoom Air cushioning elevates the Air Force 1’s otherwise antiquated technology.
While the Beijing tie-in isn’t immediately apparent, it hints at a possible regional-exclusive release for the upcoming pair. The LeBron James x Nike Air Force 1 Low Beijing is set to be released this summer for $220 from select Nike Sportswear retailers. The style code for the new colorway is IQ5373-100.
