Misty Copeland dressed up for an appearance on “CBS Mornings” on Tuesday in a black ensemble grounded by a sleek but playful pair of Jimmy Choo pumps. The ballet icon discussed her retirement era and the latest book in her young adult series “StarFire Academy.”
Copeland donned Jimmy Choo’s Ixia pump in black patent leather, a style that puts a twist on the classic pump with a drop heel, adding modern flair. The square-cut vamp style also features a pointed toe, which added a sharp edge to Copeland’s look. She modeled a frayed denim pencil skirt from Michael Kors Collection accented by a thin belt, and a simple black top with wide short sleeves tucked into the skirt.
Jimmy Choo’s Ixia pump is a go-to dress shoe for a long list of celebrities. Available in several colorways, the shoe can be adapted to fit in with a range of looks. Bella Hadid modeled an amber tortoiseshell TPU iteration in Cannes with a romantic ruffled top and flared pants; Michelle Obama, a devotee of the brand, wore the black patent leather option with an aquamarine Hervé Léger dress on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”; and Teyana Taylor also wore them on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, donning a silver version to accompany an olive green Rabanne suit.
