In one of the U.S. Open’s most anticipated matches, Frances Tiafoe and Ben Shelton will hit Arthur Ashe Stadium on Friday night to vie for a spot in the Grand Slam’s final. And the stars will bring buzz to three big brands in the historic match — the first semifinal between two Black American men in the Open era.

Tiafoe, who signed with Lululemon in January 2025, has been unmissable during the tournament in his flamingo pink set from the brand, down to his socks and headbands.

Interestingly, he does not wear Lululemon sneakers to play. Instead, he is competing in K-Swiss‘s Ultrashot 4 tennis shoes. The storied California brand — which is marking its 60th anniversary and last week inked a deal to be the ATP Tour’s official shoe partner — doesn’t have a formal relationship with the tennis star, but it worked with Lululemon to coordinate Tiafoe’s look for the tournament.

Shelton, meanwhile is playing in his Lights Out collection for On, one of the brand’s most creative kits. He wears a court tank with a black-to-white gradient and the Roger Pro 3 sneakers, named after tennis great and On investor Roger Federer, in a new black colorway.

The collection also includes a varsity bomber for courtside wear, and off-court sneakers, shorts and accessories.

Both players have had their devoted girlfriends by their side throughout the U.S. Open. Many fans view Shelton and his girlfriend, soccer star Trinity Rodman, as one of the ultimate sports couples. Meanwhile, Tiafoe’s girlfriend Ayan Broomfield, a fellow tennis player and influencer, has been front and center, too.
