“It’s fun to show up for your retail partner,” said Tracee Ellis Ross, touching shoulders with Ulta Beauty chief executive officer Kecia Steelman. “Because they’re always showing up for us.”

The pair were walking the red carpet together — in coordinating red lipstick at that — on Tuesday evening at the 2026 WWD Honors Gala, where Ross was on hand to present Steelman with the Beauty Company of the Year, Public award.

Guests including Hannah Einbinder, Michelle Monaghan, François Arnaud, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Adrien Brody, Louisa Jacobson, Tommy Dorfman, Chloe Fineman, Rebecca Hall, Lexi Minetree, Lucy Freyer, Lilli Kay, Helena Christensen, Claudia Sulewski and more gathered at Cipriani South Street for a cocktail hour reception ahead of the evening’s program.

Monaghan, who was presenting The Center’s Ben Bennett with Beauty Company of the Year, Private, was enjoying some time in New York’s fall weather before heading back home to the heat of Los Angeles by the weekend.

“I had dinner last night with a girlfriend of mine, which was really nice. We went to Straker’s — it’s delicious,” she said. “I just like seeing the leaves change of course and just walking around the city. I always love walking around the city, but particularly this time of year.”

Fineman was also a big fan of the nice New York weather, or “‘You’ve Got Mail’ weather,” as she put it.

“I’m doing a Netflix show and we’re shooting in New York. I’m playing a love interest, so it’s nice to have rom-com weather,” she joked.

The former “SNL” cast member will be making her return to the show this weekend for their Halloween show, as an audience member for the first time.

“They’re my best friends,” she said. “I just want to go and give everyone a hug. I’ve never gotten to see the show.”

Minetree, who broke out this year in the “Legally Blonde” prequel series “Elle,” will be spending Halloween on set in Syracuse, N.Y., where she’s busy at work on an upcoming Sony comedy “Narcs” with Mason Thames, Ella Bright and others.

“The cast and I are planning a little group costume. We’re all dressing as different versions of Robert Pattinson,” she said. “I think I might be ‘Twilight’ Rob. I do know Mason is going to be the meme version of him.”

Dorfman was still sorting out her Halloween look, now with a few guidelines.

“My boyfriend made his own costume as Big Bird and I don’t really know how to compete with that,” she said. “I’m going to be like Small Bird? I don’t really know. I’m going to be like Oscar the Grouch.”

Her most promising contender though?

“I was going to do Elizabeth Holmes because I do think I could do it the best,” she said. “The hair is really right right now, so I’m thinking about it. I mean, I’m also a sociopath.”

Dorfman was on hand to recognize Henry Zankov, and was wearing a sparkling look from the designer for the evening.

“I feel like he already has an idea of what’s going to look good on my body because he just loves women and respects women’s bodies and he knows how to dress them really well. And then it’s just a matter of color, play and fit and making sure that the portions feel good,” she said of the fitting process, ahead of the night. “But it’s honestly kind of like having a sleepover party or something — but in the middle of the DVF office.”
