Justin Boxford, who was named global president of the Estée Lauder Cos.‘ luxury beauty brands in September, is departing the company for a new opportunity.

The move was revealed in an internal memo from executive vice president and chief brand officer Jane Hertzmark Hudis, viewed by WWD.

Boxford has been with the company for more than 20 years. He previously led La Mer between 2017 and 2022, before moving on to Estée Lauder. His September promotion meant that he expanded his portfolio to include La Mer alongside Estée Lauder, Aerin, Darphin Paris and Lab Series.

In the memo, Hertzmark Hudis said the company was “deeply grateful” for his dedication, commitment and service over two decades. She highlighted how he brought a strong global perspective and understanding of the luxury consumer, in addition to a passion for brand building.

“He has helped advance our digital and omnichannel capabilities, elevate luxury brand experiences, deepen consumer engagement and deliver local relevance around the world,” she said.

As of yet, a successor has not been named, but Hertzmark Hudis said she is confident that its strong leadership team will continue to steward the brands “with care, consistency and a clear focus on their long-term success.”
