Although 2023 may have started on a bit of a chaotic note in the love and sex space, we can at least count on the upcoming astrological transits for incredible opportunities for passion and sex the rest of 2023.

So far this year, your sex horoscope has ushered in immense change, thanks to a few notable planetary movements: taskmaster Saturn entered watery Pisces on March 7, giving us an abundance of hope in our approach to sex (though sometimes at the expense of our boundaries); transformational Pluto briefly entered idealistic Aquarius from March 23 to June 11, encouraging us to embrace authenticity in the bedroom; and benefic Jupiter entered earthy Taurus on May 16, bringing a “slow burn” energy to our sex lives.

Additionally, with Venus, Saturn, Jupiter, and Pluto all retrograde in 2023, we have been able to use these times as checkpoints for our sensual endeavors – opportunities to reflect, reassess, and, if necessary, redirect our passions throughout the year.

Aside from this, the North Node entered Aries and the South Node entered Libra on July 17, and they’ll be in this axis for the rest of the year. These shifts encourage us to be selfish in the bedroom. If that feels like a negative ask, reconsider: the South Node represents the karmic past and our stuck points, and the South Node in balanced Libra may shine a light on the ways in which we’ve overcompromised in our relationships for the sake of keeping the peace.

At the same time, the North Node of fate and destiny entering independent Aries reminds us that our needs matter just as much as our partners’. To tap into our inner fire and true pleasure, then, we’ll have to learn to release our desire to please our partners and to instead put ourselves first. Rest assured, doing so will reward us by helping us unlock an entirely new level of satisfaction and passion.

If there’s one main message to keep in mind as we approach intimacy the rest of 2023, it’s that we’ll need to keep our own needs and desire for sensual exploration at the forefront in order to truly enjoy an authentic and satisfying bond – not only with our partners but also with ourselves. For more specific insight into what to expect in your sex life for the rest of 2023, find your sun sign or rising sign below and see what’s being highlighted for you in the year ahead.

Aries Sex Horoscope (March 21-April 19)

Prioritize your sexual needs the rest of this year, Aries. When Venus entered Leo, you had plenty of opportunities to show off in the bedroom, since the warm, fiery confidence of the Lion gave you a roaring sex life. But Venus retrograde may have paused some romantic opportunities for you, leading you to decide if you and your partner were on the same page. Whether you decided to sync back up again or move on, it’ll all be in service to a healthier, more fiery sex life.

Fate and destiny also changed in your favor throughout the summer when the North Node entered your sign at the same time the South Node entered Libra in mid-July. For the rest of the year, you’ll need to focus on asserting your needs and expectations for intimacy to avoid repeating any past mistakes. Although it might be a little aggressive at times, the North Node can help you attain what you desire.

Remember, the theme of this year is selfishness: make sure you’re getting what you want before settling into a routine in bed.

Taurus Sex Horoscope (April 20-May 20)

Take advantage of new opportunities to indulge in your sexual fantasies and kinks, Taurus. Although you may feel doubtful of your sexual potency or your ability to have the type of sex you want, Jupiter’s retrograde now through Dec. 30 is actually a beautiful opportunity to step into your authenticity. Use the retrograde to work on feeling confident in your charisma and desires while getting comfortable with a lack of control when it comes to romance.

Currently, you may feel somewhat unsure of your love life thanks to when Mercury stationed retrograde in Virgo from Aug. 23 to Sept. 15. All you’ll need to do to push through the rest of the year, though, is be extra clear about your desires and expectations. After you put in some work in the first half of the year, you’ll be rewarded: watch your sex life flourish throughout the rest of 2023.

Gemini Sex Horoscope (May 21-June 21)

Dive deeper into your sensual curiosities, Gemini. During Gemini season, hopefully you shined with confidence and explored your sexual interests. The Pluto retrograde in Capricorn may have strengthened your ability to harness your power, enabling you to instill better boundaries in your intimate relationships.

Around July 6, you may have felt like you needed to cut any entanglements out of your life to feel more empowered during the full moon in Capricorn. If ending a FWB deal or situationship to better your sex life seemed counterintuitive, know that you became in control of your ability to access pleasure, rather than relying on others. Hopefully in doing so, you opened up about a kink you’ve wanted to explore or became honest about a certain position you know is key to getting you off – and as a result, you’ve had the kind of truly earth-shaking sex you’ve always wanted.

By the new moon in Sagittarius on Dec. 12, you could manifest exploring new sexual terrain with your partner. (Didn’t we say you’ll be exploring your sexual curiosities all year long?)

Cancer Sex Horoscope (June 22-July 22)

Are you ready to take your sex life to the next level, Cancer? You may have noticed a subtle yet powerful shift in your sex life when Pluto stationed retrograde in Capricorn on June 11. This astronomical event may have helped you overcome your fear of intimacy or vulnerability. Now that Pluto is stationed direct, however, don’t be afraid to watch new genres of porn or to introduce different sex toys into the bedroom. Overcoming your inhibitions can be incredibly orgasmic!

As we look forward to the last few moments of 2023, remember the word of the year is “intimacy.” In other words, ditch any immaturity that might have been causing you to shy away from the type of deep, vulnerable intimacy that can be scary to lose yourself to. The reward of leaning into this kind of sensual bond is indescribable – some of the best sex comes from being able to be totally bare before someone else, literally and figuratively.

Leo Sex Horoscope (July 23-Aug. 22)

Leo, your sex life was incredibly unique this year. Summertime was undeniably fierce, especially when the full moon in Sagittarius revved up your sensuality on June 3.

With both Saturn going retrograde in Pisces and Neptune retrograde in Pisces, it was a good time to be honest with what you desire in an intimate bond. Both of these backspins shined light on your hidden sexual and emotional cravings. (You may have even let go of a sex partner or bedroom activity you were no longer enjoying.)

Although summertime may have felt sluggish, you can expect your love life to get hot and heavy again as we finish out this year. And if you’ve been dying to try something new, like a toy or position, then set the intention to be more sexually adventurous during the new moon in Sagittarius in mid-December.

Virgo Sex Horoscope (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Virgo, it’s time to embrace your sensuality and desire for commitment. At the beginning of summer, two retrogrades threw a curveball in your sex life: Pluto retrograde entered Capricorn from June 11 to Oct. 10 and Saturn retrograde entered Pisces from June 17 to Nov. 14. Since Neptune also stationed retrograde in Pisces until Dec. 6, which is a movement that illuminated your blind spots, you may have had a more intuitive yet discerning approach to your romantic and sexual relationships. Take off your rose-colored glasses to get a crystal-clear view.

Toward the end of the year, you’ll have another opportunity to explore your new and old sexual wishes when Mercury stations retrograde again in Capricorn in mid-December. The beginning and end of 2023 may feel similar; they’re both times to own who you are and what you want

Libra Sex Horoscope (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Are you ready for a twist in your sensual fate and destiny, Libra? Exploring your sensual side by yourself and experimenting with new forms of solo play could feel like an act of empowerment this year.

Pluto retrograde was likely a good time for you to explore any sexual inhibitions or limitations in your relationships, which may have allowed you and your partner to have a more authentic connection. And while this transit may have helped you explore intimacy (both on your own or in a relationship), it’s OK if you came out of it single. Consider it a good season for self-love.

By mid-July, the cosmos aligned in your favor to put yourself first in and out of the bedroom. However, you’ll have to be mindful of letting go of any people-pleasing tendencies to avoid overcompromising your wants and needs. As we get ready for 2024, consider this your time to let go of any coveted yet unfulfilling bonds, while owning what you secretly desire.

Scorpio Sex Horoscope (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

You have the power to engage in a beautifully stable sex life over messy, drama-filled entanglements, Scorpio. You went deeper with people in 2023, and the sex that resulted from intimacy left stars in your eyes. Expect the unexpected throughout the remainder of the year.

Now through 2024, this could be the perfect time to embrace stepping out of your comfort zone, especially as it relates to baring yourself in front of someone else, like opening up about your secret fantasies to a partner. If you take the risk, it could be a wonderfully transformative time that allows you to become more sexually and romantically authentic in your relationships. Expect this to lead to unexpected yet fated culminations with your views on intimacy and commitment. Whatever happens is meant to be!

Sagittarius Sex Horoscope (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

If any zodiac sign is overdue for new sexual horizons, it’s you, Sagittarius. Fate and destiny shifted in your favor when the North Node entered Aries and the South Node entered Libra in mid-July. As they stay there through mid-December, focus on shedding any people-pleasing tendencies in the bedroom where your needs aren’t being met. Instead, use the North Node to put you on the path of sensual trailblazing. You may feel increasingly bold and confident as you pursue your desires with an assertive mentality.

Given that the full moon in Aries on Sept. 29 called you to close a six-month cycle of sexual exploration, consider the rest of 2023 to be the time to let go of any limitations or inhibitions. Be honest about what you want or need since you should prioritize your desires. Communicate what you need, or let your partner know if you’re ready to move on – as you’ll have an opportunity to say a final goodbye on Dec. 26 during the full moon in Cancer.

Capricorn Sex Horoscope (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Did you have an introspective 2023, Capricorn? With Pluto retrograde unfolding in your sign, it’s likely you used the time to amplify your attractiveness. Initially, this backspin may have been disempowering, and you may have felt insecure. But over time, Pluto retrograde hopefully helped you see the full scope of your allure, lending you newfound sexual confidence.

With Jupiter stationed retrograde in Taurus now to Dec. 30, this astronomical event is urging you to focus on the basics of sex to feel sexually comfortable with yourself and a partner. Use this time to reel it in, focus on what you need, and build a more stable bond through sexual exploration. Spend some time on solo play and quieter, more “vanilla” partnered sex to remind yourself and your partner of your foundational likes and dislikes; this work will pay off.

The full moon in Cancer will follow at the end of December, allowing you to shut down whatever’s not working in your relationships before 2023 is over, freeing you up for more fun and pleasure in the following year.

Aquarius Sex Horoscope (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Your sex life will continue to explode the rest of the year, Aquarius. On June 5, Venus entered Leo, giving you the confidence you needed to be more confident with eroticism. If you’re still seeking new opportunities to explore your sexual curiosities in a lighthearted manner, then set the intention to do so.

Though the astrological events this year have been a great time to set intentions, be extra careful about what you continue to wish for. Rather than trying to manifest the type of sex you want at this time, first, do your best to clear the air regarding any past sexual miscommunications or wounds. If you’ve been less than honest about, say, having more than one partner or faking orgasms during sex, it might be best to hold yourself accountable before your secrets come out.

Focus on ending the year with a clear idea about who you are as a partner and what you need in the bedroom so you can walk into winter with a clear head and a clear conscience.

Pisces Sex Horoscope (Feb. 19-March 20)

Continue to look for “the one” who will help you create the fireworks you’ve been dreaming of in the bedroom, Pisces. A rabbit hole of self-discovery opened up in the second half of the year, as both Saturn and Neptune stationed retrograde in your sign. These retrogrades were highly introspective, giving you the time to think about what you can improve upon as a sexual partner. You might have been surprised by what kind of work you need to do, but hopefully, so far, it has been worthwhile.

Throughout the last month of 2023, there will be more opportunities to reconsider what you want in your sexual life. Commit to continue doing what feels good, and enjoying the sex (and orgasms) in the process.
