For GloRilla, there was no better way to celebrate the release of her new single than by taking in Tommy Hilfiger’s fall 2024 collection.
On Friday night, the 24-year-old Grammy-nominated musician joined the likes of Damson Idris, Sofia Richie Grainge and Kelly Rutherford in the front-row seats of the Grand Central Terminal Oyster Bar for Hilfiger’s latest show. Earlier in the day, she’d released her newest single “Yeah Glo!” along with a new music video, directed by Troy Roscoe.
“It feels great, I love that everybody else likes it as much as I do,” she said of having the project out in the world.
Her love for Tommy Hilfiger stems from seeing Aaliyah wear the brand when Glo was a kid.
“I just love the whole brand. I’ve been loving it since I was a kid when I saw Aaliyah do it, and it feels great that I can find a home in fashion,” she said. Her look for the night was inspired by the late singer.
“You know I’m on my old-school Aaliyah vibe,” she said of her tied-up T-shirt and jeans, which were paired with a diamond necklace spelling out “hallelujah” — “that’s my middle name.”
As for the rest of her fashion week?
“Tommy tommy tommy!”
A fitting week of plans for the singer, who was recently named a face of the latest Tommy Hilfiger “Tommy Jeans Remastered” campaign, alongside British rapper Central Cee.
