There are few things I love more than a great pair of denim, and no matter how out of control my collection’s becoming, I’m constantly looking to update my wardrobe with comfortable jeans that are equal parts chic and durable. As a shopping editor, I do my due diligence to stay up to date on the latest and greatest denim trends that are available to shop from my favorite fashion labels (hi, Everlane). That means stalking the new arrivals section of both the biggest – and more under-the-radar – names in the denim-sphere and actively quizzing my fellow coworkers to share the styles they can’t live without.
Spoiler: I’ve discovered that there’s really no shortage of great jeans to shop online. And since we’re not in the business of gatekeeping here at POPSUGAR, I’m more than happy to divulge all of my best denim findings below.
What to Consider When Shopping For a New Pair of Jeans
There are a couple things to keep in mind when finding your perfect pair of denim. First, you’ll want to consider the length. Bottoms usually come in three different length options: short, tall, and regular. Inseam lengths can vary by brand, so it’s important to verify the exact measurements on a brand’s site before purchasing. You’ll also want to take material into account. Authentic denim is typically made from 100 percent cotton, and is designed to be incredibly durable. Alternatively, if you’d like a pair of comfy jeans that are more lightweight and stretchy, there are also jegging options which are crafted from a viscose and Spandex blend.
With so many different things to consider, I tapped our editors to get their expert recommendations on the most comfortable women’s jeans they’ve owned, loved, and would gladly add to their growing denim collection again (assuming, of course, they haven’t already). Ahead, shop our editor-approved picks for the most comfortable jeans for women to stock up on this season, from classic straight-leg jeans and wide-leg jeans made to wear with a great pair of boots to high-waisted pieces, and so much more.
