Accenture said it will acquire McCoy, a Dutch SAP transformation partner, which will strengthen company efforts to help mid-market businesses with AI adoption and modernized operations.
The company said in a statement that once the deal is closed, McCoy will become part of Accenture Edge, which was recently launched to target the mid-market business. It did not disclose the cost of the acquisition.
Headquartered in the Netherlands, McCoy was founded in 2012. It designs, implements and manages SAP solutions across enterprise resource planning, data, business solutions, managed services and enterprise integration. Through the years, it built long-standing client relationships across different sectors such as technology, manufacturing, and retail.
The deal comes at a time when the global market has been seeing a sustained push to adopt AI and integrate it well within company operations. AI adoption, however, is easier said than done, with many surveys painting a picture of successful pilot projects that struggle to be scaled across the entire business.
The acquisition is expected to further strengthen Accenture Edge’s position in the fast-growing mid-market in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. It will also contribute to offerings such as Advance, a joint initiative with SAP that provides packaged services tailored to the mid-market. These offerings help mid-market organizations become more connected, intelligent and responsive.

McCoy will bring more than 380 specialized professionals to Accenture Edge. “Joining Accenture Edge will allow us to build on what has made McCoy successful: deep SAP expertise, close client relationships and an entrepreneurial approach to delivery,” said Tom van den Berg, Co-Founder of McCoy.
“Together, we can offer clients broader SAP, technology and AI capabilities to support their growth, while giving our people access to new expertise, international projects and career opportunities,” he added.
Accenture said the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of required regulatory approvals.
