The footrace to dominate the World Cup is officially on, as both Nike and Puma unveiled a large swath of national team kits last week. Amid the fray, Adidas also dropped a collection of sneakers matching 11 of its 13 revealed away kits that may have gone under your radar.
The Adidas Handball Spezial “World Cup” pack accounts for all of Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Peru, Spain and Sweden. Each features the classic translucent gum cupsole and the respective crests on the heels, but from there the treatments are as distinct as the World Cup kits themselves.

Among the standouts are Columbia’s navy and yellow sneakers and Chile’s in brown, white and pink. Peru and Japan are both treated to tri-color striping atop a black base to match their shirts, the former in highlighter yellow, orange and pink and the latter in pastel blue, pink and yellow. Belgium also gets pastels in pink and blue atop black.
Both Spain and Mexico are more aligned with their traditional color schemes, while Sweden goes totally blue without the yellow usually paired with it. Italy then gets a blue on blue look, and Argentina adds just a few hits of sky blue alongside black and white.
The Adidas Handball Spezial “World Cup” pack is out now on Adidas’ website and through select third-party retailers. Pricing for each sneaker is set at $120.
