Salomon has teamed up with Free People’s activewear brand FP Movement on updates to two of its most popular sneakers.

In the first tie-up between the two companies, the new capsule collection reimagines the XT-6 and XT-Whisper in unexpected colorways. According to the Urban Outfitters-owned retailer, the new offering is “designed to activate the aura” and the “vivid gradients celebrate creativity and intention, encouraging wearers to fuel joy through movement.”

For the Salomon XT-6, FP Movement uses bold washes of pink, mint, and ivory, which blend into one another. These are emphasized by green accents that bring “unexpected contrast” to the silhouette, the retailer noted. As for the XT-Whisper, this style features warm washes of coral, blush, and peach that meet saturated purple and blue accents, highlighting the shoe’s signature wavy SensiFit construction.

Andrea Perez, global president of FP Movement, said in a statement that the retailer has “long admired” the world that Salomon has built. “This collaboration gave us the opportunity to bring our own point of view to two of its most beloved styles,” Perez noted. “Through unexpected color and thoughtful design, we hope to inspire women to move with joy, embrace individuality, and make these styles entirely their own.”

“Through vibrant colors and unexpected details, we’ve reimagined the XT-6 and XT-Whisper in a way that feels fresh yet unmistakingly true to both brands and the communities we serve,” Taylor added.

This new partnership is just the latest move by Salomon to attract more women to the brand. Just last week, Salomon revealed its first campaign with global ambassador Jisoo. Throughout the campaign, the Blackpink member can be seen wearing Salomon’s newest shoe styles from the fall/winter 2026 season including the XT-6 Protective, XT-Whisper Gore-Tex and XT-4 OG Gore-Tex.

The September campaign was the first project between Salomon and Jisoo since announcing the brand ambassadorship in May. At the time, Salomon noted that the partnership “marked the beginning of a broader long-term relationship, with future creative projects and collaborations to be revealed over time.”

During Salomon parent Amer Sports’ investor day in September, Kristof Cavazzana, vice president of product and experience at Salomon, noted that the French mountain sports brand has been working to attract more women to the label for years. He pointed to the multi-season collection Salomon produced with designer Sandy Liang as one that spoke to that audience. “We have many collaborations and colorways aimed at bringing energy, awareness and reach across men, women and different communities,” Cavazzana noted.

Valerie Loh, senior vice president of brand and marketing at Salomon, also noted the brand’s growth in women’s during last month’s investor day. “We went from around 35 percent of women shopping our direct-to-consumer, to around 45 percent, a plus of 10 percentage points, over the course of two years.”

As for its new partnership with FP Movement, Salomon is bringing the focus back to women.

“Our campaign storytelling is women-led, with Brooklyn-based artist Claire Buckley’s bright, ethereal art at the center,” Erin Sheehy, key account and trade marketing at Salomon North America, told FN. “Our goal is to inspire the FP Movement community to connect more deeply with themselves through creativity and movement as empowering forms of self-expression.”

The limited-edition XT-6 and XT-Whisper collection, which retails between $145 and $185, is now available at FPMovement.com and in select FP Movement and Salomon stores.
