The Las Vegas Aces players kept it nonchalant for their most recent walk down the tunnel ahead of their game against the Connecticut Sun on Sunday. The WNBA stars touched down at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Vegas showing off their pre-game style, with their sneakers being the focal point of their looks.
While some of the athletes paired their dressed-down looks with Nike and Asics, others opted for designer sneakers and exclusive collaborations that they matched to their ensembles with precision. The Las Vegas Aces took home the win on Sunday.

Las Vegas center A’ja Wilson arrived at the arena wearing a pair of Nike Air Force 1 Low ’07 in a white honeydew colorway. The sneakers featured an all-white design except for a green outline on the Swoosh and on the rubber sole at the bottom of the shoe. The sneaker color matched perfectly with the shorts and crop top set the basketball star paired them with.
Aaliyah Nye kept it laid back in a pair of Asics Gel-Kayano 14 in the illuminating yellow and black colorway. She wore her shoe laces untied and tall socks. Nye matched them with a multicolor Better With Age graphic print scoop neck, long-sleeve henley, that she wore as a dress.
Jackie Young went for the popular Amiri MA Quad Skel sneakers. She opted for the low-top, grainy leather and cotton twill sneakers in the beige and white colorway. The sneakers feature a Jacquard logo pattern throughout with perforations at the toe, a logo patch at the padded tongue, a padded collar, graphic appliqués at the sides and a logo printed at the heel tab. She paired them with beige shorts and a denim jacket.
Dana Evans went designer for her sneakers. She dressed up in a gray bodysuit with a pair of the Bottega Veneta Orbit Sneaker in pink and silver. The $1,050 runner, lace-up sneaker is made from a lightweight technical fabric and mesh.
Chelsea Gray stepped out in Adidas’ Y-3 Gendo Superstar sneaker, which retails for $750 on adidas.com. The Y-3 Gendo Superstar Shoes are designed by Yohji Yamamoto with a fully hollow space in the midsole, inspired by a philosophical Japanese concept called Ma, which explores how a pause in time or negative space can generate beauty in a way that isn’t absent of anything at all. The oversize shoe takes inspiration from the classic Adidas Superstar sneakers. Gray paired hers with an all black ensemble, which included wide-leg pants and a structured, oversize jacket.
Jewell Loyd wore a pair of Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Vintage sneakers. The white sneakers, who made a comeback a few years ago, are made from a leather and synthetic upper, a black Swoosh, and are put through a vintage treatment on the midsole that provides an old-school look. The sneakers are currently on sale for $78 on nike.com.
NaLyssa Smith also reached for a designer sneaker for the tunnel look. Opting for the Lanvin Curb sneaker, which is a ’90s-inspired sneaker with an assertive design and exaggerated volumes. Made from nappa calfskin, suede and mesh, the model features a round shape, an almond toe, a padded tongue and metallic eyelets. The shoes feature waxed and woven double laces with a herringbone motif, a quilted tongue with the Lanvin label and an embossed Mother and Child logo. The shoes are available for around $917 on the Lanvin website.
