Bassett, promoting her show “9-1-1,” wore a platform heel style with a softly narrowed toe, and the bold reptilian-inspired pattern featured neutral earthy tones. The vamp cut away to reveal the foot and featured slender straps in back as well as a towering stiletto heel. The shoes also featured a triangle outline at the vamp and a stacked sole design.

Platforms are a go-to footwear look for Bassett, who has previously donned metallic gold Saint Laurent platform sandals, glossy black Kurt Geiger court heels with a platform boost and tall block heel, and gold Le Silla platform heels with a pointed toe.

Bassett’s snakeskin-patterned shoes stood out against her monochrome dark fuchsia outfit featuring creased wide-leg pants and a silky ruched top with a loosely draped off-the-shoulder sleeve. Her look also included a loose wavy hairstyle.

Snakeskin footwear made a splash in 2025, with celebrities like Taylor Swift (wearing Stella McCartney), Michael B. Jordan (wearing Second/Layer), Sarah Jessica Parker (wearing Jimmy Choo) and more displaying the print.

Stylist Philippe Uter told FN last year, “Snakeskin shoes evoke feelings of empowerment, allure and sensuality, depending on the wearer. Making them not just a trend, but a bold and sexy reflection of personal identity.”

A wide range of brands have put their own spin on snakeskin. For the same story which Uter participated in, stylist Leon Gray told FN, “I love the way Amina Muaddi has been working with [snakeskin] recently (her boots in particular are incredible! Per Rihanna). And then Loewe have created some really interesting, less traditional, pieces. Last but not least, Larroudé’s mule is my favorite for summer.”
