Anne Hathaway continued her maternity style streak in New York City on Thursday with an all-black look featuring shoes from B Corp-certified Scandinavian shoe brand Anonymous Copenhagen.
The “Verity” star wore the Jilliah 55 slingback pump, a silhouette with a high-cut vamp, pointed toe and modest stiletto heel measuring a little over two inches. The actress wore the black shiny lamb colorway of the Jilliah, a shoe made with 100 percent LWG-certified leather, which is a locally sourced byproduct of the food industry. Hathaway paired the shoes with a black knit midi dress with a collar.
Offering more coverage than a traditional low-cut vamp silhouette, the high-vamp pump trend has emerged in recent times as a stylish contemporary alternative presented by brands like Tory Burch, Chanel, Monsieur Gavriel, Naturalizer and Khaite. The glove-like look also extends to the realm of ballerina footwear; Hathaway’s “Verity” costar Dakota Johnson, for example, wore a glossy burgundy pair of flats recently.
