YoungArts, established in 1981 by Lin and Ted Arison, is a national foundation for the achievement of artists. It identifies exceptional young artists and amplifies their potential and investments in their lifelong creative freedom. YoungArts provides space, funding, mentorship, professional development and community throughout artists’ careers. Entrance into the organization starts with a highly competitive application for talented artists ages 15 to 18, or grades 10 to 12 in the U.S. that is judged by discipline-specific panels of artists through a rigorous adjudication process.
