Asha Banks can’t quite believe she’s back again so soon.
The 22-year-old musician and actor is promoting her new film “Your Fault: London,” following the success of the trilogy’s first film only last year. “My Fault: London” was released in February 2025, the cast got the green light for a second and went back to film both the second and third films, wrapping this past Halloween. Now she’s gearing up to release “Your Fault” into the world, out Wednesday on Prime Video.
“The first time around felt like such a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I can’t quite believe that it’s happening again,” Banks says.
The London films are based on Mercedes Ron’s Wattpad sensation novel series called “Culpables,” which were turned into Spanish films beginning in 2023. The first film, “Culpa Mia,” became Prime Video’s most popular film worldwide.

Banks stars as Noah, who moves from Florida to London when her mother remarries a wealthy Englishman. Tensions immediately begin between Noah and Nick, the son of her mother’s new husband, played by “Buccaneers” star Matthew Broome.
“It’s so nice going in this time around knowing that we have a fan base,” Banks says of returning to the “My Fault” world. “I feel like the first one came out and of course the books and the Spanish movies have such a fan base, but we were very much proving ourselves and proving our right to be there and share some of the same fans. But this time around is really exciting because I feel like now they’re here for us and here to support us, which is really cool and very different from the first time.”
Banks has been acting since she was a child, starring in “Les Misérables” in London’s West End as an 8-year-old. Yet Noah is the longest she’s lived with one character, and getting to grow with her has been a unique gift for Banks.
“She so much feels [like] such a part of me now,” Banks says. “What’s so nice about this film is being able to really find myself in a character and be able to play her again. And I think especially because there’s another iteration of Noah, it’s all the more important that I’ve really found where I connected with her. We’re similar in a lot of ways and we’re different in a lot of ways. She’s quite sarcastic and always has something to say and I feel like I aspire to have that and have her wit. And I think her friendships are really important to her, and close female friendship is something that I have a lot of in my life. I think that we’re quite similar and fiercely loyal in our friendships.”
For as long as Banks has been an actress, she’s also been a musician. She got her start with musical theater, and from there began learning guitar and writing her own songs. She began releasing music in 2024, with her first single “So Green,” and had a song in “My Fault: London” called “Feel the Rush.” Earlier this year her song “Too Busy Missing You” was featured in the hit series “Off Campus,” giving her her biggest streaming hit thus far. Her newest single, “Come Down,” was released June 12 and will be heard in “Your Fault: London,” though she didn’t initially write the song for the movie.
“I re-listened to it and I couldn’t quite believe the fact that I hadn’t noticed it was perfect for the film,” she says. “It was kind of a happy accident, but now I can’t separate the two. I think I must have known within me subconsciously that it was perfect for the film when I was writing it.”
This summer, after “Your Fault” is released, Banks will be playing festivals, including the main stage at Lollapalooza in Chicago, her biggest gig yet.
“I spent a lot of time this year performing feeling very grateful that I’d done theater growing up, because I’m very used to being on stage, which is so nice,” she says. “I mean, it never takes away from the excitement or the adrenaline or the nerves, but I think because I’m used to it, I don’t feel terrified and I feel like I’ve got a bit of control and I’m in a safe space. I love being with the band and with the crew and that feels like when you’re on stage with the theater and the company. It’s a very family vibe, which I love.”
