Authentic Brands Group has signed Centric Brands as the licensee for Vince branded handbags, small leather goods and belts for men and women.

Centric, which owns or licenses some 100 brands including Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Nautica and Spyder, has a long-standing relationship with Authentic and produces merchandise in various categories for several of its brands including Frye, Hervé Léger, Izod, Quiksilver, Billabong, Roxy and others.

Vince is an incredible brand that has a tremendous opportunity to expand in the accessories category through Centric’s expertise in design, sourcing and marketing,” said Jarrod Kahn, group president of accessories for Centric. “We look forward to building upon the brand DNA and creating a meaningful business.”

“Centric Brands has consistently demonstrated its ability to translate brand identity into high-quality products that resonate with consumers,” said Jarrod Weber, group president lifestyle and chief brand officer at Authentic. “Building on our partnership, we are pleased to offer accessories that embody the essence of Vince — sophistication and style.”

The belts, bags and small leather goods will retail from $125 to $225 and handbags from $250 to $595. The product assortment will be available at department stores, specialty retailers as well as e-commerce sites.

Last April, Vince Holding Group said that it planned to transfer its intellectual property to a newly formed subsidiary at Authentic, called ABG Vince, in exchange for $76.5 million in cash and a 25 percent membership interest in the subsidiary in what was billed as “a transformative strategic partnership.” Vince continued as a public company.
