Bella Thorne found a way to fashion a few popular trends at the 70th Taormina Film Festival on Saturday. The actress married sheer dressing with the peekaboo bra layering trend at a red carpet event during the festival in Italy.
For Saturday’s red carpet, Thorne fashioned a sleeveless black dress with sheer detailing on the bodice. The look featured a flowing skirt and high neckline. The sheer bodice of Thorne’s dress also featured the peekaboo bra trend, as the actress layered a black bralette beneath.
Another trend incorporated into Thorne’s look was a backless element. While the back of Thorne’s bralette fastened in the back, the only other band of fabric that was visible was the tied fabric from Thorne’s high neckline.

The actress wore her hair in a tight chignon, with a few wisps to frame her face. As for Thorne’s makeup, the actress opted for a clean look, save for a bold smokey eye and natural soft pink lip. She accessorized with statement bangles in black and metallic.
On Sunday, Thorne traded her black gown for a more casual look, opting for an ensemble with a spin on American staples. The actress wore a pair of wide-leg light blue jeans with a cropped white, off-the-shoulder top — a spin on the classic blue jeans and white T-shirt look.
Thorne wore her dark auburn tresses down with a natural makeup look and dainty pieces of jewelry as her accessories. She completed the ensemble with a pair of pointed toe white shoes and coordinated sunglasses.
Thorne is just the latest star to wholly embrace the peekaboo bra layering trend. Several celebrities have put their spin on the look over the course of the last few months. Most recently, Serena Williams fashioned the trend in a gown by Armani Privé on the red carpet of the ESPY Awards on Thursday. Thorne’s look, however, demonstrates the trend’s versatility on the red carpet.
