Beyoncé took to Instagram on Monday to share her Cécred “wash day ritual.” The singer launched her hair care line in February with help from vice chairwoman — and Beyoncé’s mother — Tina Knowles.
“It has been such a special experience seeing all of your #cecredwashday rituals all over my timeline.…I just had to join in with something I had in the archives,” Beyoncé captioned the Instagram video.
Cécred’s Foundation Collection includes hydrating shampoo, hair oil and a deep conditioner, among other products.
“Being disruptive and challenging everything people feel should be the process has always been exciting to me. My hair and music seemed to do that a lot over the years,” the singer continued.
Throughout her decades-long career, Beyoncé has experimented with a plethora of hairstyles, recently debuting her platinum blond tresses at the Los Angeles premiere of “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé” in November.
“Maintaining 25 years of blond on natural hair through all the experimenting I do has played a huge part in developing @cecred’s products,” Beyoncé concluded. “It’s the hardest to keep color-treated hair healthy and strong, but @cecred is here. All quality, with NO shortcuts. Congratulations to the entire Cécred team for contributing to developing award-winning products. Happy #cecredwashday! You are Cécred.”
While Cécred marks her first hair care venture, Beyoncé is no stranger to the beauty space. In 2008, the artist served as a brand ambassador for L’Oréal Paris and in 2010, she released her first fragrance, Heat. Late last year, Beyoncé debuted another eau de parfum, Cé Noir.
