Brand ambassadorship is no stranger to fashion. But in the last five years, fashion’s growing list of ambassadors from art, fashion, film, music and sport has become much more diverse than in the past. Black celebrities are not only emerging as the face of some of fashion’s most recognizable brands, they’re also reshaping the global conversation around representation. From Chanel to Saint Laurent to their own brands, and everywhere in between, here is a roundup of some of the newest influencers moving fashion’s conversation forward.

2026

American actress and Golden Globes nominee Chase Infiniti, known for her role in the film “One Battle After Another,” continues to rise as a fashion influence. She is the newest house ambassador for Louis Vuitton under the direction of Nicolas Ghesquière.

Canadian actress Taylor Russell, known for her roles in “Bones and All,” is another rising star. Dior added her name to its growing list of ambassadors ahead of Jonathan Anderson’s debut couture collection for the legendary house.

Australian actress Sophie Wilde has earned attention for her film and television roles, most notably for the supernatural horror “Talk to Me” in 2022. She recently was appointed brand ambassador for Dior, making her debut in the house’s Rose des Vents jewelry collection.  

Actor and musician Lakeith Smith, known for his role in “Die My Love,” has worn Dior on several occasions. He represents Dior’s menswear collections currently designed by Jonathan Anderson.

A$AP Rocky unveils and represents his own luxury jewelry brand Pavē Niteō. One of the current generation’s most formidable influences, he also made history in 2025 when he was appointed Ray-Ban’s first creative director. In the same year he signed on with Chanel as brand ambassador. He was named a global brand ambassador for Gucci in 2023.

Damson Idris is added to Prada’s growing list of Black celebrity ambassadors. The British-Nigerian actor known for his breakout role in “F1: The Movie” appeared in the brand’s “Image of an Image” campaign. He is also the face of the brand Didris, his collection of fine jewelry he launched in 2025.  

2025

Actress Nia Long is named the brand ambassador for Estée Lauder North America. Long joins a prestigious roster of renowned faces representing the 80-year-old brand founded by Estée Lauder.  

Actress Ayo Edebiri, known for her role in the HBO series “The Bear,” becomes the first brand ambassador on Matthieu Blazy’s roster for Chanel. The actress has since debuted many firsts from Blazy’s collections for the legendary house on the red carpet.

Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar is appointed global brand ambassador for Chanel eyewear. His appointment reaffirmed a relationship that began in 2023. Lamar recently became the most Grammy-awarded hip-hop artist in history, receiving his award in a custom Chanel tuxedo and eyewear.

Best-actor Oscar nominee Michael B. Jordan is the newest addition to luxury jewelry brand David Yurman. Previously the face of Coach, Jordan was featured in David Yurman’s “The Vault” and spring 2025 Chevron collection.

Rapper and musician Future joins Louis Vuitton’s growing roster of brand ambassadors’ “Friend of the House” community under creative director Pharrell Williams. Williams continued to expand the house’s roster to include a diverse list of Black music, sport and style influencers. The growing list includes makeup artist Pat McGrath, skateboarder Tyshawn Jones, musician John Legend and rappers Pusha T and Travis Scott.

2024

Rihanna made history as the first Black ambassador for Dior in 2015. In 2024 she succeeded Charlize Theron as the face of Dior’s J’adore fragrance. She also starred in Pharrell Williams’ debut spring campaign for Louis Vuitton and is often the face of her multibillion-dollar Fenty beauty and fashion brands.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell, who can obviously represent any product category, becomes a prominent brand ambassador for Boss watches and jewelry.

Actress Zoe Kravitz is appointed the first brand ambassador for British jeweler Jessica McCormack. Kravitz is also known as a face for Omega watches with previous ties to YSL Beauty.

Ageless beauty captures the essence of icon Diana Ross. The singer and actress becomes the face of Saint Laurent’s 2024 campaign under the creative direction of Anthony Vaccarello. Ross, who has been a fashion diva since the 1970s, was also a favorite of designer Thierry Mugler in the 1990s.

2023

Rapper Ice Spice and singer Sza front separate campaigns for Kim Kardashian’s Skims “Seamless Sculpt” and “Fits Everybody” underwear. Kardashian, known for her strategic marketing, celebrated the next-gen artists for their body positivity influence.

Actress Letitia Wright, star of Marvel’s “Black Panther” franchise, signs on as a brand ambassador for Prada. Wright has appeared in multiple campaigns for the brand, including holiday 2025, which celebrated the timelessness of cross-generational traditions.

Global celebrity influence Zendaya begins her brand ambassadorship at Louis Vuitton — and is the face of its 2026 130th anniversary campaign. The star is one of the first to garner partnerships across fashion and beauty. Her ambassadorships include Rolex, Bulgari and Lancôme Beauty, centering heritage brands on its next generation of consumers.

First-time Golden Globes winner Teyana Taylor is no stranger to fashion. Her first appearance on MTV’s “Sweet 16” reality show gave an indication of her love for fashion. Her first brand exclusive collaboration with sneaker brand Nike produced the Air Jordan 1 “A Rose From Harlem,” followed in 2026 by the Air Jordan 3 “Concrete Rose.” She has also partnered with BMW.

Oscar winning actress Lupita Nyong’o serves as global ambassador for diamond company De Beers, “Building Forever” sustainability project. She joined Chanel’s roster in 2024.

2021

Rapper Saweetie, known for her “Icy Girl” persona, makes her debut as global brand ambassador for legendary beauty brand MAC Cosmetics in the campaign #MACChallengeAccepted with entertainment icon Cher.

Actor Idris Elba has served as a brand ambassador across the spectrum of technology and fashion. Appearing in the Christian Louboutin “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” campaign marked his first luxury brand initiative.

2020

Rapper Megan Thee Stallion signs on to represent Revlon as its newest global brand ambassador. The star helped launch the limited-edition “Hot Girl Sunset” collection, bringing her signature “hot girl” attitude to the cosmetics giant.

Musician Lenny Kravitz, known for his iconic style partnerships with Saint Laurent, becomes a global brand ambassador for YSL Beauty representing the “Y” fragrance line. He also is a brand ambassador for Jaeger-LeCoultre watches.
