During October’s New York Luxury Bridal Fashion Week last year, Los Angeles-based designer Katherine Tash unveiled the next evolution of her bridal brand through an expansion of silhouettes.

“We started doing ballgowns, really big A-lines, and people responded to that so well. I thought, ‘OK, we can start expanding even further as a brand.’ I don’t ever want to do things as a designer that alienate my design sense and the customer that knows what to come to me for, but I also don’t want to stagnate as a designer. I think that’s one of the best things about remaining an independent designer,” the namesake creative director and founder told WWD.

The second step in this evolution will be unveiled at Tash’s first cocktail party on Tuesday, with images of her spring 2027 “Chrysalis” collection featuring new beaded lace, silk organza and silk jacquard wedding dresses on display. Furthermore, the designer is unveiling her new collaboration with Mexico City-based veil brand, Ofrenda Studio.

“I’ve always admired her work. She feels very singular, very unique in the space. I feel like Sandra has such a point of view and because we were not pivoting the brand in this way, but evolving the brand with this collection, it felt like the right time,” Tash said of choosing to work with Sandra Morales, creative director and founder of Ofrenda Studio, on her first collaboration. She added that after sending new collection mood boards and fabric samples to Morales, Tash wanted her to take her own artistic license.

“Chrysalis carries a quiet strength and sense of becoming, and we wanted the veils to exist in direct conversation with that. These three pieces are our interpretation of the metamorphosis [Tash] evokes, each one reflecting a different stage of transformation, becoming and, ultimately, arrival,” Morales, told WWD of marrying the brands’ ethos of melding modernity and timelessness.

The capsule features the Still Veil in English net and eco French Chantilly lace; the Flow Veil in layered lace, glass pearls, eco tulle and soft satin ties, and the Rise Veil in layers of soft, fluid eco tulle and French Chantilly lace. The styles, priced $598 to $1,500, will be available to purchase on Ofrenda’s e-commerce beginning April 8 and are made-to-order with a six- to eight-week production time.
