MILAN — Bulgari and Save the Children are celebrating 15 years of their partnership with the launch of a new custom-made necklace and the #withmewithyou campaign. The campaign bowed Monday and is fronted by Bulgari global brand ambassador Anne Hathaway, model Eva Herzigova, image architect Law Roach, model and actor Jon Kortajarena and orchestra conductor Beatrice Venezi.
On this occasion, Bulgari is introducing a custom-made pendant necklace. Inspired by its signature line B.zero1 Rock, the sterling silver necklace features a round pendant with edgy metallic studs. It retails for 800 euros, of which 95 euros will be donated to Save the Children.
Starting Monday, Bulgari is furthering its commitment by donating the same amount for each piece sold of the collection, which also includes a ring at 600 euros, a bracelet at 650 euros and two other pendant necklaces retailing at 790 euros and 700 euros, respectively.
“Walking alongside Save the Children for 15 years has been a great honor for Bulgari,” said the brand’s chief executive officer Jean-Christophe Babin. “Together we were pioneers in creating a partnership, carrying out long-term projects over the years and giving concrete support to millions of children. We celebrate this important anniversary with the aim of not stopping, but continuing with the same strength and common passion in giving opportunities and light on the path of many other children.”
Through the sales of custom-made jewelry specifically created for Save the Children initiatives, Bulgari has raised more than $105 million, reaching more than 2 million children in 37 countries, primarily guaranteeing quality education, youth empowerment, emergency response and fight against poverty.
However, Bulgari highlighted the staggering figures that require commitment since there are 468 million children living in conflict-affected areas and 222 million crisis-affected children and adolescents in need of education support, as well as 153 million children facing acute hunger around the world.
“Save the Children and Bulgari have spent the last 15 years working together to make the world a better place for children,” said Claudio Tesauro, chair of Save the Children Italy. “This key milestone marks both the end of a fantastic path traveled together, but also an exciting new beginning. I am thrilled that Bulgari has chosen to celebrate this continued partnership with Save the Children with a new unique piece of jewelry: a symbol of the change this collaboration has brought about in the lives of millions of children around the world. Each child has a unique story of resilience and strength that deserves to be told, and we are delighted that Bulgari continues to support us in this endeavor.”
The #withmewithyou campaign was shot under the artistic direction of photographer Fabrizio Ferri, who also shot the first and other Bulgari and Save the Children campaigns over the years.
Videos, which will be released to complement the images on Feb. 7, will show Hathaway conveying a message about the importance to further commit, while Herzigova will take viewers into the world of Sumiya, a young girl from Nepal who joined the Youth Empowerment Bulgari program to learn what is required to start a business. Roach will tell the story of Raneem from Syria, a refugee from the Zaatari camp who learned how to go beyond boundaries through the power of education. Kortajarena will introduce A-Dang, a child coming from what is considered one of the poorest districts in Vietnam, who joined a Bulgari education program guaranteeing bilingual education for children of ethnic minorities in remote areas. Venezi will show her admiration for Litzy, a Bolivian girl who learned to practice resilience building her own business of beekeeping.
The new Bulgari and Save the Children pendant necklace will be exclusively available for pre-sale on Bulgari.com from Tuesday and worldwide in selected Bulgari stores starting from Jan. 15.
