Country music stars walked the 2023 Country Music Association Awards red carpet at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday. The show is hosted by Luke Bryan and former NFL quarterback Peyton Manning.
Lainey Wilson was the most-nominated artist this year with nine nods, including Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year and Single of the Year. Jelly Roll followed with five nominations, and Luke Combs and Hardy tied with four nominations.
Here, WWD takes a closer look at the standout style on the CMA red carpet.
Carly Pearce
Carly Pearce channeled classic disco glamour in a glittering Monique Lhuillier strapless floor-length gown. It featured a black tube top and a slinky silver sequin floor-length skirt, topped off with a long black train. The “Next Girl” singer paired the elegant dress with beachy waves, sparkly hoops and lots of rings.
Paula Abdul
Paula Abdul, who presented an award during the ceremony, opted for a floor-length gown with dramatic long sleeves. The pink mesh dress, which was covered in dark silver and bronze sequins, had patterns that looked like branches of coral. A gold metal belt added drama to the look. She wore her shoulder-length hair straight down and carried a metallic clutch by Jimmy Choo.
Cynthia Erivo
Cynthia Erivo, who was also a presenter at the 2023 CMAs, wore a custom dress by Louis Vuitton featuring a playful pattern and women with yellow and blue hair. The spaghetti strap gown also had a silky purple train.
Mickey Guyton
Mickey Guyton glowed in a sunny ensemble; a yellow cutout Rebecca Vallance minidress with miniature crystal detailing. She elevated the look with clear sandals that featured tall stiletto heels and rhinestone ankle straps. She wore her hair in loose waves with face-framing highlights.
