Carrie Coon put a cool-toned spin on the suede pump trend in New York City on Tuesday, punctuating a neutral-hued look with gray Gianvito Rossi Gianvito 85 pumps.
The pointed-toe style featured a smooth gray suede upper with a low-cut vamp and a slim stiletto heel in the line’s 85mm height, finished with a metal heel tip. The pumps, which retailed for about $850, followed the label’s minimalist template for the Gianvito line: a clean upper, narrow heel and sharply tapered toe.
“The White Lotus” star paired the pumps with a black leather midi dress featuring front patch pockets. She layered a white collared shirt with narrow vertical stripes under the dress, with the collar and cuffs peeking out from the leather. She stayed warm in a long charcoal wool coat with structured shoulders and a single-breasted front.

A red Métier Private Eye bag in the Pomodoro shade provided the saturated contrast against the grayscale base. The structured leather tote featured double top handles, side zip gussets and gold hardware. The bag has also been seen on the likes of Katie Holmes and Naomi Watts.
The outing added another wear to Gianvito Rossi’s signature pump family. In 2025, the brand introduced its Shades of Gianvito program, extending the 105 pump into as many as 30 suede colors and confirming the shorter 85mm version as part of the range. The expansion built on a run that kept the Gianvito pump in steady circulation since its 2008 debut, with regular wearers including Kate Middleton — who recently coordinated a chocolate brown suede pair with Prince William — Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, Margaret Qualley and Ariana Grande. Heels in the Shades of Gianvito program retailed for $795 at launch.
Coon stayed close to the same cool palette she favored in 2025. At the 2025 Emmys, “The White Lotus” actress finished a Chanel gown with custom gray peep-toe pumps in a hue similar to the Gianvito pair. She also wore the gray Gianvito Rossi pumps for a July 2025 appearance on “Morning Joe,” pairing them with a gray Patou fall 2025 suit.
The actress isn’t the only star who loves Gianvito Rossi, either. Ahead, take a look at celebrities wearing Gianvito Rossi pumps, from the Italian label’s signature shoe to some of its more avant-garde offerings:
